NVIDIA had initially planned to introduce a massive quad-slot cooling design for its RTX 40 series GPUs. However, the company had eventually abandoned this idea in favor of a more conventional approach. Various prototypes of this particular cooling system, displayed in different forms and colors, suggested that the company hadn’t settled on specific SKUs during its development. Over the past year, pictures of these prototype coolers have been gradually shared, leading to speculation that they might never be used in actual products.

Nevertheless, it’s intriguing to glimpse into what NVIDIA had contemplated for its flagship desktop GPU. The proposed card would have featured a PCB mounted at a 90-degree angle to the PCIe interface, and it was recently disclosed that it would also have employed a triple-fan cooling setup, with the third fan cleverly concealed inside the massive heatsink.

The latest photos were again shared by the same source (Hayaka) who had previously leaked similar images. This suggests that the individual possesses most of the cooling solution, although the PCB part has not been disclosed yet.

According to the owner, the card’s cooler was designed with 22 heat pipes and a vapor chamber to cater to the unique PCB placement. The arrangement of cables was also notable, including the 12VHPWR cable looping around the heatsink since there were no other points of attachment due to the repositioning of the PCB.

Recently, rumors have circulated that NVIDIA might no longer pursue the launch of the RTX 4090 Ti graphics card. However, there has been no mention of cancellation plans for the TITAN ADA model, which had been spotted featuring the distinctive TITAN series color scheme at some point.
